Zane and I became close friends/family during the Australia Council’s inaugural national 2020 Custodianship Program.

Zane and I were both fortunate to be successful applicants to the program and it was during COVID when the program was continued via ZOOM that I began to be exposed to Zane’s deep commitment to inhabiting the role of Custodianship.

Zane is a Gungarri/Butchulla man of great integrity, softly spoken, deep consideration, social conscience, and Cultural congruence.

I was inspired to produce Night Rainbow after viewing Zane’s performance relating to the same title.

Zane is profoundly connected to Custodianship, Culture, creative expression and carries strong Lore.

Zane lives and grew up in Kuranda.
