I started this piece experimenting with colour and movement and hadn’t realised what I’d painted until a day later when I could see a figure with arms cradling/nurturing a burning heart and a sun above the head.

On further assessment with my mentor, we believed that there was a spiritual connection attempting to be made. And these connections were being made without me thinking about it or focusing on it.

What I needed to do was to keep my mind open to the communication, to allow what wanted to be said to come forward and to show me.
