Topic: Greed

The relationship between water, money, and power, is what comes to mind when I think about the word ‘greed’.

Firstly because I believe water has been given to us freely, although often now it comes with a price. Whether that be in a monetary sense, or through the power that comes with obtaining and controlling it.

Seen in the painting is a representation of the dollar coin with a body of water flowing through the middle.

The positioning of both the coin and water questions this relationship while the kangaroos and their tracks reminds us that this water also belongs to the life within its surrounds.
