We are so pleased to be hosting a *28-31 piece solo show of works from multiple award winning Artist Jandamarra Cadd. This is the largest number of works ever assembled of Jandamarra’s work and presents a unique opportunity to experience his painterly journey from the amazing 2m x 2m ‘Walking Together’ (2012) to his more recent 2019 works.
This is a unique opportunity for Jandamarra’s many fans to purchase works as all works in the show will be available to purchase, including Jandamarra’s 2014 Archibald Prize Finalist portrait of Uncle Archie Roach, titled ‘Proud’. This among many of the other works have never been available to purchase before.
In the words of the artist himself: ‘This exhibition is a visual culmination of the evolution of my works over the past 10 years ranging from an Archibald prize finalist painting of Uncle Archie Roach, to 4 people’s choice winning portraits from a variety of prestigious art prizes like the Black Swan Art Prize and Sunshine Coast Art Prize. With an array of other pieces that highlight the value and beauty of First Nations Culture and the people that are a part of this, along with paintings that share through a visual narrative the message of walking together proper way. The style of each portrait varies greatly, and at times these vastly contrasting styles come together in a harmony”.
